Benalla Lake
"CLEAN UP FOR TURTLES"The Benalla Lake has three species of fresh water turtles and other aquatic wildlife that can be affected by pollution in our waterways. Join Turtles Australia Inc. and the Benalla community volunteers on Sunday March 3rd 2019 in a 'clean up paddle' or walk, in and around the Lake Benalla.
Bring your own canoe and safety gear for the 'clean up' paddle on the lake or wear comfortable, enclosed walking shoes for the foreshore clean up. The assembly point is near the Benalla Library on the foreshore of Lake Benalla. There will be a volunteer registration table and participants are asked to sign in at the start of the clean up and sign out at the end of the event. The Benalla Rural City Council supports this event.
