Join us to help clean up, fix up and conserve the environment...because when the rubbish is gone, nature can carry on.

Clean Up Australia Day

Sunday March 4th. 10am to 12noon. Registration from

Meet at the Visitor Centre. Car Park off Central Road Blackburn opposite Gwenda

All attendees must register on site and sign off before
leaving the site.  This is required even
if you register on-line on the CUAD website.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Bring gloves if you have them; we have a limited number for your use.

Please wear appropriate clothing: enclosed shoes, hat, preferably long trousers
and sleeves.

Don’t forget your sun cream and drink bottle (re-fills available
on site).

If you are bringing a group, please let us know the number
to help us plan the work. Contact the Coordinator at:


 Join us afterwards from 11:30am, for a free sausage sizzle
and activities including face painting, puppets and a water bug display provided
by Melbourne Water. This will be the launch of Melbourne Water / Blackburn Lake
Sanctuary Litter Project.

There will be an opportunity to analyse and record the kinds of rubbish

Hear from our guest speaker, Neil Blake, Port Phillip Bay
Keeper, also known as


and learn how you can help to reduce litter ending up in our bays and waterways.

This is a free and family-friendly event concluding about 1pm.
